Announcement

The  concept  of  the  World  Water  Forum  was  established  in  early  90s  and  many

discussions are  repeated  after  the first  step. It is greeted the 3rd time in Kyoto now.

The 3rd World Water Forum (3rdWWF) is  announced  by the last forum in Hague, 2002.

All  people  concerned hope  3rdWWF  to  be the milestone connecting to the concrete

action plan referring to "World Water Vision" which showed the direction over the water

issue to the world.  However,  since  the water issue depends on the natural and social

conditions  of  every  region in the world, it is very important for people concerned that

the region,  people  and  group  sharing  the  same  issue  tackles  the subject through

"Regional Conference."

"Saga forum" held mainly by Saga University or "Palau Forum" held in last October would

unifies "Voices" from  the  Pacific  Island  countries  and  Japan  as the one of "Regional

Conferences",  and  is  bearing  the  important  role  as  the "Messenger"  to  the world.

Moreover, to  report "Voice" and "Declaration" from  a  series  of conferences in the 3rd

WWF means  that  our  outcomes will be reflected into the "World Water Action Report",

which is the major output from the 3rd WWF. 

Here, I would like to announce the Session "Desalination using Renewable Energy" in 3rd

WWF as a compilation of our "Regional Conference" held with Republic of Palau. In order 

to send many "Voices" from Palau / Saga Forum, I would like to ask your participation.
